Responsibilities

• Reports to the IT Manager
• To take lead in continuously looking for ways to improve current processes and develop new processes where necessary, such as onboarding/offboarding staff process
• To develop training materials and procedures to train users in the proper use of hardware and software for system users on operating systems to ensure consistency in the organization
• To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the IT department and to deliver a prompt and efficient service to all departments in the company and retail shops
• To ensure that the company’s and Retails shops’ computer system, both hardware and software are fully accounted for properly maintained and reliable
• To ensure procedures are in place that in the event of any problems encountered in software and hardware, that they are addressed immediately
• To ensure the physical and logical security of IT system
• To define and keep updated written incident management policies and procedures where the action to be taken and persons to be contacted in case of an incident are clearly mentioned
• To perform routine system setups as may be required by software and/or programs such as regular update of anti-virus programs or system updates
• To strictly perform daily/monthly back up procedures, ensuring the successful completion of the process and the safeguard of the backup information
• To assist any department in formulating their IT material requirements and provide adequate solution to their needs

Requirements

• Min Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, or its equivalents
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity
• Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 and other Microsoft products (SQL, Windows Servers etc)
• Familiar with VMware ESXi and vSphere
• Good technical experience with systems networking, databases, and user support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Independent and willing to learn
• Possess good working attitude and good communications skills
• Candidates with experience in Cloud (AWS/Azure), Microsoft SQL Server knowledge, Palo Alto firewall administration, Pulse Secure SSL VPN Solution, Kaspersky Security Center, will be an added advantage.
