  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Deputy Director, Corporate Planning and Services, the Manager, Human Resources (HR) has full responsibility for the HR activity for the school, with duties centering on driving people management strategy and managing the HR team, procedures and processes. Details as follows:-


    • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic workforce planning and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives
    • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and compliance.
    • Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change
    • Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating budgetary requirements, trends, and variances
    • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, systems, and decisions; analyzing information and applications
    • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
    • Complies with Singapore manpower law, and related legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
    • Updates job knowledge by working closely with all faculties/departments; participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
    • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
    • Performs any other duties as assigned



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
    • 5 to 8 years working experience in similar role
    • Experience of providing direct supervision to staff members and working as part of a senior management team and leading organizational strategy
    • Strong organization and analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
    • Good knowledge of database systems and processes
    • Clear understanding of confidentiality
    • Good service orientation and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Ability to pay high attention to detail to ensure that high quality work is delivered
    • Ability to work in a flexible manner – out of hours as required
    • Ability to build, motivate and work within a team to accomplish project goals
    • Commitment to the goals and values of the organization


    Working Hours – 8.30 am to 6.00 pm (Monday to Friday)
